Summary

The Heavy Duty Operations Consultant will lead the client partnership to identify opportunities to improve EBITDA and cash flow, then implement robust change leading to sustainable measurable results.

This position is responsible for applying his/her experience to collaborate with the Maine Pointe Analysis and Engagement Team to deliver upon scope of the consulting assignment. He/she is expected to analyze and identify client operational issues by conducting various qualitative and quantitative studies. They are accountable for a defined engagement work stream, collaborate with other Maine Pointe resources to improve client performance to achieve sustainable financial improvements.

Expectations

  1. Timely delivery against detailed study/work stream plans meeting of milestones and delivery outcome.
  2. Engage clients to develop better tools and processes, as well as transfer knowledge to transform operational capabilities.
  3. Follow the project plan and work to ensure timely meeting of milestones and delivery outcome (scope varies by client assignment)
  4. Develop, agree and implement organization structures and management operating systems to support lean processes.
  5. Analyze and understand existing client operating organization, processes, strategies, and results.
  6. Establish and build effective working relationship with key client stakeholders. Be a trusted advisor to the client.
  7. Identify and escalate additional sales opportunities.

Experience / Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, supply chain, engineering, operations management, business or relevant field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience in a manufacturing / processing environment with a proven record of upward career progression
  • Minimum five years of consulting experience delivering measurable results, preferably at a top-tier consulting firm or ‘in-house’ within industry
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience with leading and driving complex operation transformation engagements in a customer environment where change management was critical to success.
