Core BTS unveils automotive consulting practice
Core BTS, an Indianapolis-based digital transformation consultancy, yesterday announced a new automotive consulting practice.
The practice will focus on delivering consulting, data, and analytics services to automakers, suppliers, and dealers.
Core BTS says leveraging analytics is key to successfully tackling emerging industry challenges, including electrification and autonomous vehicles. Effectively analyzing large volumes of data can help improve operations and customer acquisition and retention, among other areas.
The firm says it brings expertise in both the automotive sectors and analytics consulting to the new practice, where it will provide strategy, development, and implementation services for analytics solutions.Michael Smith, formerly of Toyota, has joined Core BTS to lead the new practice as vice president. He brings extensive expertise in automotive analytics, including 25 years with Toyota, where he was responsible for defining data analytics solutions for North American design, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.

Core BTS also works with clients in industries such as healthcare, gaming, education, and manufacturing.
Founded in 2004, Core BTS provides cloud, modern workplace, app dev, security, and networking solutions to commercial and public-sector clients. The firm has over 900 employees, according to LinkedIn, and 14 offices in the United States.
The firm is a subsidiary of Nomura Research Institute (NRI), a Japanese research and consulting firm, which acquired it in 2021.
