Two HKA experts in US win Lexology Client Choice Awards
Two US-based experts from consulting firm HKA – Daniel Kwon and Kimberly Reome – won a Lexology Client Choice Award 2024.
Established in 2005, the Lexology awards recognize individuals for exceptional client care, including the ability to add real value to client businesses beyond other market players.
The awards are based on nominations from in-house counsel as well as market analysis. Clients rate individuals on criteria including commercial awareness, industry knowledge, strategic thinking, responsiveness, effective communication, clarity of documentation, sharing of expertise, and loyalty and ethics.
Daniel Kwon, who is a partner based in HKA’s Los Angeles office, won in the construction – expert witness category. A professional engineer with 20+ years of construction industry experience, Kwon is an expert in delay and technical disciplines.
He has acted as an expert witness and expert assistant, providing reports and presentations in support of settlement negotiations, mediation, deposition, arbitration, and trial.
Prior to joining HKA in 2017, Kwon was a senior consultant at Hill International and a manager at EY. Earlier in his career, he was a project engineer at Matt Construction.
Kimberly Reome, an HKA partner based in Chicago, won in the energy – expert category. A forensic accounting and quantum expert with 30+ years of experience in economic damages analysis, Reome has provided testimony and expert reports in federal and state courts and arbitrations.
She has served as a damages expert for construction contractors, construction owners, electric utilities, and manufacturing firms on damages matters in excess of $8 billion.
Before joining HKA in 2019, Reome was VP and secretary at The Kenrich Group and a principal at Tucker Alan.
Overall, 10 HKA experts in six countries across five work categories received Lexology Client Choice 2024 Awards. In Canada, HKA partners Lorna Cuthbertson Tardif and John Baxter won a Lexology award.
