Grant Thornton elects new partnership board members
Grant Thornton US, a Chicago-based accounting and consulting firm, has elected four new members to its partnership board. The firm also elected Kelli Knoble as chairperson.
The partnership board governs the partnership and determines the 9,000-person firm’s strategic direction.
Kelli Knoble, a tax partner, is the first woman to serve as chairperson. Based in Charlotte, Knoble is national managing partner of wealth and human capital services. She is also a member of the Grant Thornton International tax advisory council. Knoble has been at the firm since 2002.
The four new members of Grant Thornton’s partnership board are:
Jim Fortosis (Chicago) is a principal and deputy general counsel in the risk, regulatory & legal affairs group, where he oversees firm litigation and regulatory investigations. Fortosis also counsels the firm’s business lines on risk and compliance. He has been at the firm since 2015.
Joseph Loretto (Dallas) is an audit & assurance partner and is director for the US Central region in Grant Thornton’s international business center. He previously led Grant Thornton’s Latin America business group. Loretto has been at the firm for nearly 24 years.
Craig Miller (Baltimore) is an audit & assurance partner and is national professional practice director for the US East region. He was previously audit & assurance partner for the Mid-Atlantic region. Miller has been at the firm since 1996.
Matthew Tierney (Philadelphia) is global insurance practice leader, heading the US and global insurance teams across audit, tax, and advisory. He joined Grant Thornton in 2011.
