Robin Heider joins HKA’s intellectual property team as director

Robin Heider has joined the intellectual property team of HKA, a global risk and disputes consultancy, as a director based in Washington, DC.

Heider brings 15+ years of consulting experience in intellectual property (IP) and commercial damages, with a focus on quantifying damages, identifying monetary compensation, and analyzing related economic issues. Heider has worked on IP disputes in US district courts and the US International Trade Commission. Her engagements have spanned a variety of industries, including financial services, pharmaceuticals, and electronics.

In her new role, Heider will analyze data, develop financial models, perform damages assessments, and determine royalties, among other tasks.

She was previously an independent consultant at ASQ Consulting Group, which was acquired by HKA in September 2023. Before that, she spent 16 years with economic consultancy Analysis group, where she was a vice president.

Prior to entering consulting, Heider was a research assistant at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in Washington, DC.

She has an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in economics and public policy analysis from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

HKA earlier this year welcomed Drew Hauge as a director in its forensic accounting and commercial damages group in Washington, DC.
