AArete promotes three managing directors in healthcare practice
AArete, a Chicago-headquartered management and technology consulting firm, has promoted SueEllen Carroll, Leslie Lotano-Saba, and Jeff Schacht to managing directors in its healthcare consulting practice.

SueEllen Carroll (Chicago) works with healthcare clients on strategic profitability improvement and process re-engineering. She has over a decade of experience in healthcare supporting payer, provider, and pharmacy organizations.
Carroll joined AArete in 2018 as a senior consultant and was promoted to director in 2021. She previously spent two years as a project lead and business consultant at Surgical Directions and two years as a project leader at Scribe America.
She has a master’s degree in public policy and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Chicago.
Leslie Lotano-Saba (Albany, NY) leads AArete’s pharmacy solutions practice. She has more than 35 years of experience leading managed care pharmacy programs at payers and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), with expertise across strategy, operations, and performance improvement.
Prior to joining AArete in 2020, Lotano-Saba was COO at Clinical Support Services, VP of pharmacy at Anthem, SVP of pharmacy at Amerigroup, and VP of pharmacy at Horizon NJ Health.
She has a master’s degree in health systems administration from Union College and a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy.
Jeff Schacht (Chicago) works with healthcare payers on improving performance and operations and realizing M&A synergies. He has expertise in cost of care and affordability, enhancing payer processes, and positioning plans for sustainable growth.
Schacht joined AArete in 2015 as a manager and was promoted to director in 2019. He previously spent two years at Target, where he was a senior business analyst.
Schacht has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan.

AArete last year celebrated its 15th year in business.
