PwC partner Jenny Machida joins CD&R as managing director

Jenny Machida, a former PwC partner, has joined Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R), a New York-based private equity firm, as managing director of portfolio talent. She is based in Los Angeles.

In the newly created role, Machida will support CD&R’s investment teams on talent-related issues across the investment lifecycle.

Machida brings more than 25 years of experience in management consulting and direct investing. She joins CD&R from PwC, where she spent five years as a partner and practice leader for talent value delivery in deals. In the role, Machida focused on helping private equity and corporate clients realize deal value through leadership, talent, and organization due diligence.

Before that, she spent seven years at PE firm IMB Partners, where she was a managing director focusing on talent due diligence and post-close strategic planning. Earlier in her career, Machida was a principal at Katzenbach Partners and Booz & Co (now Strategy&). She began her career as a human capital consultant at Watson Wyatt (now Willis Towers Watson).

Machida has an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor’s degree from Yale University.

The firm in 2021 acquired PwC’s global mobility services unit for $2.2 billion.
