Chris Scarpa joins Grant Thornton as tax principal in Philadelphia office
Chris Scarpa, an experienced tax professional and attorney, has joined Grant Thornton as a Philadelphia-based tax principal.
Scarpa brings over 25 years of experience to the accounting and consulting firm, where he will focus on advising clients in the asset management industry.
He joins Grant Thornton from law firm Stradley Ronon, where he spent 26 years and was a partner. Scarpa focused his practice on taxation of pooled investment vehicles such as mutual funds and ETFs. He also advised tax-exempt organizations on non-profit governance and tax exemption issues.
Scarpa began his career at PwC, where he spent a year as an associate.
He has a JD and LLM in taxation from Temple University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from La Salle University.
