Embark, a Dallas-headquartered business consulting firm, has expanded into the US Northeast with an office in New York City.

Located off Park Avenue on the East Side of Manhattan, Embark’s new office will allow it to better serve its 50+ clients in New York and accelerate its expansion in key practice areas such as financial services and private equity.

Embark has grown rapidly since its founding in 2010, opening six offices in the last year and 16 new offices in the last five years. The Dallas firm – which has over 700 employees listed on LinkedIn – has 17 offices concentrated in the US Sun Belt region.

"We have a stellar expansion track record, especially in top-tier markets," said Clancy Fossum, CEO of Embark. "So, given our concentration of clients already in New York City, this move fits perfectly into our expansion strategy. Embark's ready for the spotlight in the world's number one market."

The NYC market will be led by Zac Smith, national head of markets at Embark. Smith, who joined the firm in 2021 as a senior vice president, was previously a director at Riveron and a senior consultant at EY.

“This is an opportunity to showcase Embark's unique model in the world's premier market,” Smith said. “Embark has consistently thrived, even when professional services has struggled as an industry.”

Embark also recently added Barry Salzberg, former global CEO of Deloitte, to its board of directors. The NYC native brings an extensive network of professional relationships in the region.

Embark has practices in financial accounting advisory, business transformation, transaction advisory, valuation, capital markets, and ESG and sustainability.
