Laura Adams joins CrossCountry Consulting as government contracting leader

Laura Adams has joined CrossCountry Consulting, a McLean, VA-based management consultancy, as a partner in the accounting advisory practice and national leader of the government contracting industry.

Based in Washington, DC, Adams will lead the firm’s expansion across the aerospace, defense, and government contracting industry, as well as play a key role in the firm’s strategy, operations, and growth in the DC metro market.

Adams brings nearly 30 years of industry and professional services experience focusing on complex accounting and financial transactions. She has deep expertise across technical accounting, risk and compliance, and reporting requirements facing public company and government contractors.

Adams joins CrossCountry from Booz Allen Hamilton, where she spent the last 15 years and most recently served as SVP and treasurer. Before that, she was controller and chief accounting officer.

Earlier in her career, she spent 13 years in EY’s audit and assurance practice, latterly as a senior manager advising large companies in the government contracting industry.

Adams has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and management from the University of Richmond.
