Human resources consulting firm Mercer has appointed partners Mark Chronister and Larry Chim to key leadership roles in the firm’s Dallas office. Chronister has been named Central Market Large and Jumbo Employer (LJET) Leader, while Chim has been promoted to the role of Dallas Health Office Business Leader – the position previously occupied by Chronister.

In his new role as LJET Leader, Chronister will be responsible for directing and expanding the health, wealth, and career offerings of Mercer to large and ‘jumbo’ clients in the US Central market (Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, West Virginia, and Western Pennsylvania). He will report to Ryan Ramsey, Mercer’s Central Market Business Leader.

Previously, Chronister served as the Dallas Health Office Business Leader for 11 years, growing Mercer’s Health business presence and awareness within the Dallas and Austin Markets. A long-serving veteran of the firm, Chronister has been with Mercer for over two decades. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.Mercer promotes two leaders in Dallas officeMeanwhile, Larry Chim will succeed Chronister as Dallas Health Office Business Leader. Chim holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Dallas.

“We’re thrilled to name Mark and Larry to their new roles,” said Mr. Ramsey, “Their diverse experience and proven track records of success will aid us in providing exceptional service and solutions to our clients and enable the office to build upon past success, ensuring continued growth for both the local and Central markets.”

In other Mercer people news, the firm’s New York headquarters welcomed back three leaders. Taryn Branca was named Market Sales Leader for the Tri-State area, Paulette Welsing was named M&A East Market Business Leader, and Robyn Cameron was appointed Partner, Client Management.
