B. Riley Financial acquires Interface Consulting International

B. Riley Financial, a Los Angeles-based diversified financial services company, has acquired Interface Consulting International, a Houston-based engineering and construction consulting and expert services firm.

Founded in 1986, Interface provides consulting and expert services for troubled construction projects in buildings, infrastructure, power, chemicals, and oil and gas.

The firm has practices in construction claims and disputes, construction defects, litigation and arbitration, CPM schedule analysis, construction management, and construction advisory.

Interface has 14 experts, according to its website, who provide support in areas including schedule delay analysis, labor productivity, claim preparation and analysis, cost and damage quantification, design, and change management.

Interface will join B. Riley Financial’s professional services subsidiary B. Riley Advisory Services, enhancing its forensic accounting and litigation support practices.

B. Riley last year acquired Crawford & Winiarski, a Detroit-based forensic accounting and litigation consulting firm.
