Grant Thornton names leaders for retail and manufacturing practices
Grant Thornton US has appointed Lawrence Griff as head of the retail industry practice and Kelly Schindler as head of the manufacturing industry practice.
Griff and Schindler will oversee growth and operations of audit, assurance, tax, and advisory business lines for their respective industries.
Griff is based in New York and has over 30 years of public accounting experience, including nearly 15 years with Grant Thornton. He is a partner in the audit and assurance practice who has worked with clients across retail, media, professional services, and manufacturing.
Griff was previously a partner with EY US and Arthur Andersen. He was also previously an adjunct professor of accounting at New York University.
Griff has an MBA from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a certified public accountant.
Schindler is based in St Louis and has over 20 years of public accounting experience, including 13 years with Grant Thornton. She is an audit and assurance partner who current serves as market managing principal for St. Louis.
Schindler has supported clients across manufacturing, automotive, defense, chemicals, and life sciences, among other industries.
Before joining Grant Thornton, she spent nearly 10 years with KPMG, where she was latterly a senior manager.
Schindler has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Missouri State University and is a certified public accountant.
