SGS Maine Pointe adds Jim Beach as managing director
SGS Maine Pointe, a supply chain and operations consulting firm, has hired Jim Beach as a managing director in its private equity and industrial manufacturing sectors. He is based in Chicago.
In his new role, Beach will focus on expanding the firm’s relationships in private equity and industrials as well as support clients on operational and business-critical improvements.
He brings extensive consulting experience in helping clients reduce overall cost (labor, material, overhead, assets), improve quality and key business processes, and optimize supply chains.
Beach joins SGS Maine Pointe from Synergetics, a Portsmouth, NH-headquartered management consulting firm, where he spent 23 years. Beach most recently was managing director for business development, growing relationships with over 100 mid-market PE firms and companies, primarily in industrials and food.
Before that, he held other leadership positions at Synergetics, including VP for consulting services, leading due diligence, analysis, and engagement delivery for clients in diverse industries.
Earlier in his career, Beach was a senior associate at management consultancy DeWolff, Boberg & Associates.
He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, and economics from Eastern Washington University and is a Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean certified.
SGS Maine Pointe has more than 200 employees across the US, Canada, UK, Switzerland, and China providing consulting in operational excellence, supply chain resilience, sourcing optimization and procurement, data analytics, and sustainability.
The Boston-headquartered consultancy last month welcomed Kevin Hogan as a Chicago-based managing director.
