Blue Matter hires John Bonasera as principal
Blue Matter, a San Francisco-based life sciences management consulting firm, has hired John Bonasera as a principal in its New York office.
Bonasera brings more than 20 years of life sciences industry and consulting experience to Blue Matter’s organizational strategy, design, and effectiveness practice. He has particular expertise in customer-facing teams.
Bonasera joins from Boehringer Ingelheim, where he spent 11 years and was most recently an executive director leading an internal consulting group in the US. Before that, he led a customer-facing effectiveness team at the German pharma giant.
Prior to that, Bonasera spent nearly four years at Campbell Alliance (now Syneos Health Consulting), where he was latterly a senior engagement manager.
Earlier in his career, he held sales roles at Schering-Plough, Medicis, and Novartis.
Bonasera has an MBA from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Binghamton University.
“I’ve partnered with John for many years on both the client and consulting side,” said Howard Brock,
Leader of the organizational strategy, design, and effectiveness practice. “John brings an actionable perspective with the breadth of his industry and consulting experience. He has always delivered a tremendous impact for his customers, whether it be his colleagues at Boehringer Ingelheim or his clients in consulting. We are very excited to have him join our team, and it will be great to work together again.”
