Celnor Group expands into US with acquisition of John Turner Consulting

Celnor Group, a UK-based testing, inspection, certification, and compliance (TICC) consulting firm, has acquired John Turner Consulting (JTC), a North Hampton, NH-based engineering and environmental consulting firm.

Founded in 1997, JTC provides services in geotechnical testing and engineering, materials sampling and analysis, environmental consulting, building sciences, energy consultants, construction engineering, and inspection services. The firm works on projects in healthcare, education, transportation, and infrastructure.

JTC has 150 employees across eight offices in New England and New York.

The JTC acquisition represents Celnor Group’s first expansion beyond the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Private equity firm Inflexion launched Celnor in 2023 as a platform for TICC services. JTC is Celnor’s 25th acquisition since its founding.

As part of the transaction, founder and president John Turner will continue to lead JTC.

Celnor has grown rapidly over the past 18 months to 1,300 colleagues, 5,500 clients, and annual revenue of more than £130m.

The company's life sciences sector provides testing and scientific services to biochemical, industrials, and pharmaceuticals, while its environmental and industrial services sector focuses on testing, inspection, and certification of assets, people, and processes.
