Erica Brennan joins FS Vector as managing principal of licensing team

Erica Brennan has joined FS Vector (FSV), a Washington, DC-based fintech consulting firm, as managing principal of its licensing team.
Based in Atlanta, Brennan brings 20+ years of experience at the intersection of law, regulation, technology, and finance. She has extensive experience advising payments and fintech firms on anti-money laundering and Bank Secrecy Act compliance.
Brennan most recently spent one year as chief counsel for transactions at Circle, a payments technology company that manages the stablecoin USDC.
Before that, she spent three years at Linden Lab, the developer of video game Second Life, where she was senior counsel for payments. Earlier in her career, Brennan spent 13 years at law firm Paul Hastings, where she was of counsel.
She began her career at Arthur Andersen, where she was a senior consultant, before working as an associate at Alston & Bird LLP and as an attorney at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta.
Brennan has a JD and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Virginia.
"Erica brings a wealth of experience in licensing and regulatory compliance to FSV, and we are confident she will be an incredibly valuable asset to our growing team,” said John Beccia, CEO of FSV. “Her proficiency working with both emerging and established players in the fintech and payments sectors positions her perfectly to support our clients’ efforts to obtain the necessary licenses and ensure full regulatory compliance throughout the process.”
FSV provides advisory and advocacy services to financial services and fintech clients across lending and payments, decentralized finance, digital banking, and personal finance, among other areas.
The firm has offerings in business strategy, regulatory, compliance, licensing, training, technology, government relations, and public policy matters.
FSV has more than 50 employees, according to its website.
The consultancy earlier this year added Jackson Mueller as a principal in its government relations and public policy practice.
