Acquis Consulting Group promotes Kerby Houff to CEO

Acquis Consulting Group, a New York-based management consulting firm, has promoted Kerby Houff to chief executive officer, effective June 30.
Houff succeeds David Kaufman, who has led the firm since he co-founded it in 1998. Kaufman will remain at the firm as executive chair, providing strategic guidance to Acquis and its sister companies Solidea, SSI, Tripkicks, and Cortico-X. He will also continue to lead Acquis Foundation.
“After 27 years as Managing Partner and CEO, I'm proud to pass the baton to Kerby," said Kaufman. "His strategic vision has already driven remarkable growth, and as CEO, he will accelerate our trajectory while ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional value to clients. I look forward to supporting Kerby’s leadership and continued innovation."
Houff has 20+ years of experience developing and implementing strategies. He previously led Acquis’ management consulting services division, diversifying the firm’s offerings and expanding its footprint across new industries.
Houff joined Acquis in 2011 as an engagement manager, was promoted to partner in 2020, and was named the firm’s president in 2023.
Before joining the firm, Houff was a managing director at DRT Strategies and a manager at Deloitte Consulting.
He has an MBA from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Virginia Tech.
"I am honored to build on the strong foundation David established and lead Acquis into its next chapter of growth and innovation," said Houff. "As we scale our talent and partnerships, our people-first mantra will remain at the heart of everything we do; it's this human-centered approach that will continue to amplify our impact across industries."
Acquis has 150 consultants across offices in the US, UK, and India. The firm focuses on strategy and implementation consulting for the life sciences, healthcare, financial services, technology, and private equity industries.
Acquis has practices in strategy, operating model, technology, procurement, transformation management, experience, and talent and leadership.
