Trinity Consultants acquires Benchmark Risk Group

Trinity Consultants, a Dallas-based environmental consulting firm, has acquired Benchmark Risk Group, a Chicago-based scientific consultancy focusing on human health hazards.

Founded in 2022, Benchmark evaluates human health risks from chemical, physical, and biological exposures in workplaces, communities, and consumer settings. The boutique firm has practices in exposure science, toxicology, industrial hygiene and occupational health, occupational and environmental epidemiology, risk assessment and communication, and quantitative modeling and statistics.

Benchmark has a team of 29 people, according to its website, and offices in Chicago, IL; Grand Rapids, MI; and Oakland, CA.

Benchmark will join Trinity Consultants’ life sciences division and expand the firm’s risk science and safety business line.

Trinity recently combined its businesses in the life sciences industry – including Advent Engineering Services, Aztec Technologies, SafeBridge Consultants, and Safety Partners – to form the new division.

Jennifer Pierce, PhD, president and senior principal health scientist at Benchmark, will join the life sciences division’s leadership team.

Founded in 1974, Trinity has over 2,000 professionals globally delivering environmental health and safety, engineering, and scientific-focused consulting, technology, training, and staffing services to clients in the industrial, energy, manufacturing, mining, life sciences, and commercial/institutional sectors.

Trinity has been a portfolio company of Oak Hill Partners since 2021.

Trinity earlier this year acquired Zanjero, a Sacramento, CA-based engineering and water planning consulting firm.
