EY appoints Hala Martin as San Francisco leader

EY has promoted Hala Martin to office managing partner for San Francisco, effective January 2, 2026.

Martin, who has been with the Big Four accountancy since 2000, succeeds Phillip Mazzie in the role. Mazzie moves on to serve as growth markets leader for the telecom, media, and technology (TMT) sector.

As San Francisco head, Martin will oversee a Bay Area market with approximately 3,000 audit, tax, and consulting professionals.

Martin has worked in EY’s assurance practice for 25+ years and has been a partner since 2015. She focuses on assurance and advisory services for tech and fintech clients, with expertise in revenue recognition, equity accounting, business combinations, financial instruments, internal controls, SEC reporting, and IPO readiness.

Martin has an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor of commerce degree from Concordia University in Canada.

EY is the third-largest CPA firm in the United States, according to IPA, with $24.1 billion in annual revenue and approximately 92,000 employees.
