CrossCountry Consulting buys due diligence specialist CDS
CrossCountry Consulting, a McLean, VA-headquartered management consultancy, has acquired CDS, a San Francisco-based provider of financial due diligence services for mergers and acquisitions.
Founded in 2022, CDS works with private equity funds, private investors, lenders, and corporate clients. The firm’s team of 35+ professionals have deep expertise across both buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence.
CrossCountry’s acquisition of CDS will strengthen its transaction advisory offering and its ability to provide comprehensive financial and operational consulting in M&A, carveouts, and recapitalization transactions.
“The addition of CDS not only strengthens our ability to serve the Office of the CFO but also improves our ability to provide comprehensive solutions to private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies across the deal and investment life cycles,” said Erik Linn, co-founder and managing partner of CrossCountry Consulting.
The CDS team will form CrossCountry’s new financial due diligence practice, headed by CDS partners Brian Drue and Anthony Azevedo.
“CrossCountry’s reputation for excellence and its commitment to innovation make it the perfect partner for CDS as we embark on this next chapter of growth,” Drue said.
CrossCountry was founded in 2011 and has over 1,200 global employees, according to LinkedIn. The firm provides corporate and private equity clients with services in accounting advisory, business transformation, corporate transactions, risk and compliance, technology, cybersecurity, and data and analytics.
