PYA, a Knoxville-based accounting and consulting firm, has promoted Jessica Scouten to a principal in its consulting business line.

“Jessica is a nationally respected professional in forensic accounting services,” said Marty Brown, CEO of PYA. “Her demonstrated leadership and approach to client service exemplify PYA’s values and serve our clients well.”

Based in Nashville, Scouten has more than 20 years of experience in litigation, forensic, audit and assurance, and advisory. She focuses on helping healthcare sector clients investigate and resolve fraud and financial disputes.

Scouten joined PYA in 2023 as director of forensic services. Before that, she spent nearly three years as a managing director at Healthcare Management Partners and 14 years at KraftCPAs, where she was a senior manager in the forensic and investigative accounting practice.

Scouten has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Messiah University. She currently serves as president of the Turnaround Management Association Tennessee Chapter and was previously a board member at the Middle Tennessee Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville.

PYA was founded in 1983 and is the 82nd-largest CPA firm in the United States, according to Inside Public Accounting, with $74.3 million in annual revenue. The firm has 240+ employees across offices in Atlanta, Charlotte, Kansas City, Knoxville, Nashville, and Tampa.
