Cherry Bekaert acquires Los Angeles-based Richardson Kontogouris Emerson
Cherry Bekaert, a top-20 accounting and consulting firm, has acquired Richardson Kontogouris Emerson (RKE), a Los Angeles-based accounting and consulting firm.
Founded in 2006, RKE provides accounting, tax, financial, litigation support, and strategic planning services to mid-market clients in manufacturing & consumer products, real estate, construction, and food & beverage.
The firm has 130 employees listed on LinkedIn.
Cherry Bekaert’s acquisition of RKE will significantly expand its Southern California market presence. The Raleigh, NC-headquartered firm has California offices in Los Angeles and Carlsbad.

Cherry Bekaert is the 20th-largest CPA firm in the US, according to Inside Public Accounting, with annual revenue of $658 million. The firm has 2,800 employees across offices in the US, Canada, Cayman Islands, India, and the Philippines.
Cherry Bekaert became a portfolio company of Parthenon Capital in 2022.
