Rey Machado joins HKA as director in forensic accounting and investigations
Rey Machado has joined HKA, a risk and disputes consulting firm, as a director in its forensic accounting and investigations practices.
Based in Miami, Machado brings 11 years of Big Four experience in forensic investigations, anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) compliance, regulatory inquiries, fraud risk assessments, and multinational audits.
He has worked on Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)-related matters, whistleblower investigations, internal control evaluations, sanctions, export-control risk assessments, and pre-acquisition diligence for multibillion-dollar international transactions. In addition to investigations, Machado has also evaluated compliance environments and corporate policies for organizations across the industrial, technological, agricultural, and manufacturing sectors.

Machado joins from EY’s Miami office, where he spent 11 years in the forensic & integrity services and fraud investigation & dispute services practices. He was most recently a senior manager in the forensic & integrity services practice.
Machado has master’s and bachelor’s degrees in accounting from the Florida International University and is a certified public accountant and certified fraud examiner.
