Teneo and Thoughtworks launch AI-focused joint venture
Teneo, a New York-based management consulting firm, has launched an AI-focused joint venture with Thoughtworks, a Chicago-based technology consulting firm.
The joint venture will focus on helping CEOs translate AI ambition into results – supporting the strategy, design, building, and running of AI-powered platforms.
The joint venture aligns Teneo’s 1,800 C-suite and board advisors with Thoughtworks’ 10,000 engineers, AI delivery expertise, and proprietary agentic development platform.
“AI transformation only works when strategy, culture and execution move together,” said Mike Sutcliff, CEO of Thoughtworks. “This venture unites CEO-level advisory with hands-on engineering and AI delivery. In three days, we can help clients align on new product concepts. In three weeks, we can build a working prototype. In three months, we can put new systems into production. That is the pace today’s market demands.”
The multidisciplinary teams will build integrated services that address accelerating CEO priorities in growth, productivity, modernization, and resilience; redesign operating models; transform customer and employee experiences with modern product platforms; and manage geopolitical and market risk through monitoring and scenario planning.
“As companies navigate rapid shifts in technology and capital markets, AI represents both opportunity and disruption,” said Alex Pigliucci, Teneo’s global head of enterprise clients, who will lead the joint venture. “This partnership equips our advisory teams, and our clients, with the ability to combine strategy and execution in real time, particularly in critical moments such as acquisitions, restructurings and large-scale transformations.”
The joint venture is based in New York and has hubs across the globe. It is already operating and is supported by Thoughtworks’ ecosystem of technology partners, including AWS, Google, Microsoft, Databricks, and Nvidia.
