GA Advisory & Valuation Services adds two senior leaders

GA Advisory & Valuation Services, a Los Angeles-headquartered provider of financial advisory and valuation services, has hired Kimberly Leighton as a managing director and Trent Turner as a director. Both new hires join from Bridgepoint Consulting.

Based in Dallas, Kimberly Leighton will lead a newly launched CFO advisory practice. She will use her expertise in finance transformation to assist PE firms and mid-market companies during complex business transitions.

Leighton has more than 20 years of experience across financial reporting, risk and compliance, technical accounting, and process improvement. She most recently spent four years with Bridgepoint, where she was head of the Dallas market.

Before that, Leighton was VP of finance at Suntex Marinas and TEGA Technologies. Earlier in her career, she was a manger in the finance due diligence transaction and restructuring offering of KPMG, a senior assurance associate at Grant Thornton, and an assurance associate at PwC.

Leighton has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Abilene Christian University.

Based in Denver, Trent Turner joins the financial advisory services division as a director and leader of the Mountain West market. In the role, he will lead expansion financial advisory services offerings in the region.

Turner brings more than 25 years of financial analysis and process improvement experience. He most recently spent eight years with Bridgepoint, where he was a director. Before that, he was CFO at TCG Group Holdings, Biophysical Corporation, and TechTurn.

Earlier in his career, Turner spent eight years at Dell, where he was a financial director. He began his career at PwC, where he was a senior auditor.

Turner has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.

GA Advisory & Valuation Services has practices in transaction advisory, litigation support, risk solutions, restructuring advisory, CFO advisory, and valuation.

The firm is a subsidiary of Great American Holdings (GA Group), a financial services company with 400+ employees listed on LinkedIn. GA Group was acquired by Oaktree Capital Management in 2024 from prior owner B. Riley Financial.
