North Highland promotes Anthony Shaw to CEO

North Highland, an Atlanta-headquartered management consulting firm, has promoted Anthony Shaw to chief executive officer, effective June 1, 2026.

Shaw succeeds Alex Bombeck, who has served as CEO since 2022. Bombeck has been with North Highland since 2014, joining the firm as a managing director and group president before being elevated to CEO. He previously served as chief digital officer at ad agency Havas Worldwide.

Shaw is based in London and led North Highland’s EMEA region since 2020. He joined the consultancy in 2017 as UK head of the TMT sector.

Shaw has more than 20 years of consulting and industry experience. Before joining North Highland, he spent six years at Telefonica, where he led the global innovation unit. Before that he was a principal at KPMG and a management consultant at Accenture.

Shaw has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Manchester.

As CEO, Shaw will be tasked with deepening the firm’s customer relationships, investing in its culture, and keeping the firm at the forefront of AI and emerging ways of working.

North Highland was founded in 1992 and has 2,000 employees across offices in North America, Ecuador, the UK, Romania, and the Middle East.

The firm provides consulting in strategy, process and business analysis, program and project management, change management, technology, and data and analytics to clients in a wide range of industries.
