Kearney and Beroe launch AI-powered procurement solution
Kearney, a Chicago-headquartered management consultancy, and Beroe, a Raleigh-based market intelligence firm, on Wednesday announced the launch of Max, an AI-powered decision engine for procurement.
Kearney says that Max will help clients close the gap between intelligence and decisive action. The product forms a connective layer between data and execution systems – combining 30 million live market signals from Beroe with Kearney’s proprietary consulting methodology, benchmarks, and decision frameworks. This is then plugged into a client’s unique spend, contracts, and supplier base to surface recommendations as opportunities arise.
For example, when a new tariff is imposed or a commodity price spikes, Max will reassess affected categories and flag decisions that require attention.
“Teams have always had access to market data, but what they have lacked is a system that connects that data to their specific spend, applies procurement logic, and tells them where to act, continuously,” said Vel Dhinagaravel, founder and CEO of Beroe. “MAX puts that capability into the hands of every category manager, not just the ones in the room with a consultant, enabling decisions and outcomes that were previously impossible.”
The product is a result of a multi-year partnership between Kearney and Beroe, and was designed in collaboration with 13 global procurement organizations to ensure it reflects the real decisions procurement teams face.
“MAX gives procurement leaders the real-time visibility and prioritized recommendations they need to anticipate shifts, focus where it matters, and move decisively,” said Suketu Gandhi, co-leader of global strategic operations at Kearney. “This is not a faster version of the function procurement has always been. It is a different function, one that stops waiting to be asked.”
Max was unveiled on Wednesday at the Digital Procurement World (DPW) NYC conference. It will become available to select customers in the coming months.
