RSM taps Don Lipari to lead new corporate development function
RSM US, a Chicago-headquartered accounting and consulting firm, has appointed Don Lipari as the leader of its new, dedicated corporate development function.
Lipari, who has been with RSM for more than 30 years, will head a team that evaluates and executes acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, and new market opportunities. The team will also support investments in strategic areas such as technology.
Lipari, who is based in New York, will continue to oversee RSM’s overall channel strategy spanning private and public companies, family office, government contracting, and private equity. Kevin Kopanon will succeed him as leader of the private equity practice.
Lipari has extensive expertise in deal sourcing and integration, and was a key player in the formation of the RSM US and RSM UK transatlantic partnership earlier this year, as well as its expansion to RSM Mexico.
He previously served as RSM’s enterprise industry leader, overseeing industry strategy across nine priority sectors in the US and Canada. Lipari also previously was the New York market leader.
He has a bachelor’s degree from New York University and is a certified public accountant.
“Don is a highly strategic leader, and his track record speaks for itself,” said Brian Becker, CEO of RSM’s transatlantic platform. “I am confident he will continue to play a key role in accelerating RSM’s growth.”
The RSM transatlantic partnership includes 25,000 professionals across independent RSM firms in the US, Canada, Mexico, UK, Ireland, and integrated teams in India and El Salvador.
