CohnReznick expands Houston presence with acquisition of HL&B

CohnReznick, a New York-headquartered accounting and consulting firm, has acquired Ham, Langston, & Brezina (HL&B), a Houston-based accounting and consulting firm, effective July 1, 2026.

Founded in 1995, HL&B provides assurance, tax, and advisory services to clients in energy, financial services, construction, non-profit, and benefit plans. The firm has a team of 12 partners and 87 employees.

The acquisition will expand CohnReznick’s Greater Houston presence, adding two locations in Houston and one office in Galveston.

Since its 2025 acquisition by Apax Partners, CohnReznick has opened new offices in Minneapolis, MN; San Francisco, CA; Tampa, FL; Denver, CO; Tallahassee, FL; and Richmond, VA.
