Marshall & Stevens names Nishen Radia as chief executive officer

Marshall & Stevens, a Los Angeles-based valuation and dispute advisory firm, has appointed Nishen Radia as chief executive officer.

Radia succeeds Mark Santarsiero, who has served as CEO since 2000. Santarsiero – who was a member of the team that led the employee buyout of Marshall & Stevens from its corporate parent in 1985 – will formally retire in November after more than 40 years with the firm. He will remain at the company as a board director.

“After a rigorous search and careful consideration, we identified Nishen as the ideal next leader of our firm,” said Santarsiero. “With a successful background working at respected financial services brands, Nishen’s track record of success in founding and building market-leading firms speaks for itself. I am confident that he has the experience, insight and character to lead Marshall & Stevens in its next chapter of growth.”

Radia has more than 30 years of experience as an advisor and executive in mergers and acquisitions. Between 2002 and 2022, he co-founded and served as managing partner of FocalPoint, a Los Angeles-based middle-market investment bank. After selling the firm to B. Riley Financial in 2022, he spent four years with the latter firm as a senior managing director and co-head of M&A.

Before launching FocalPoint, Radia was a vice president in Merrill Lynch’s M&A group.

He has an MBA from UCLA and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Bristol in the UK.

“I’m excited and honored to lead the Marshall & Stevens team and look forward to working together to maximize the tremendous opportunities ahead,” Radia said.

Coalesce Capital, a New York-based private equity firm, in December 2025 acquired Marshall & Stevens.

“Nishen brings valuable market knowledge, exceptional people leadership skills, and a proven track record of growth that will further strengthen Marshall & Stevens and its talented team as they continue to build on the firm’s strong foundation and reputation as one of the most trusted independent firms in valuation advisory, litigation support and M&A advisory,” said Stephanie Geveda, founder and managing partner at Coalesce Capital.

Marshall & Stevens was founded in 1932 and has more than 200 employees across 11 offices in the United States. The firm provides independent valuation, transaction opinion, and dispute resolution services to business owners, management, boards, investors, and trusted advisors.
