Armanino acquires HCM consultancy Sability
Armanino, a San Ramon, CA-based accounting and consulting firm, has acquired Sability, an Atlanta-based human capital management (HCM) and workforce management (WFM) consulting firm.
Founded in 1992, Sability is a two-time services partner of year for UKG, a leading provider of HR, payroll, and WFM software.
The firm has practices in consulting, implementation, post-live support, and managed services. Sability has a client roster of 3,500 organizations in healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, retail, and professional services across North America and globally.
The consultancy has a team of 100+ consultants and managed services specialists.
Armanino’s acquisition of Sability will strengthen its capabilities in HCM strategy, UKG implementation, and managed payroll services.
“Sability’s culture, track record, and approach to client partnerships make this a natural fit for Armanino,” said Matt Armanino, CEO of Armanino Advisory. “Their team doesn’t just implement software. They get inside a client’s business, ask the right questions, and deliver outcomes tied to real goals.”
Sability leaders Rob Leonard, James Shryock, and Kathy Kruse will join Armanino as partners.
“Joining Armanino gives our team the platform and resources to do more for our clients, expanding beyond HCM into ERP, financial advisory, and beyond, while staying true to the white-glove culture that has defined Sability for 30 years,” Leonard said.
Canaccord Genuity, a Vancouver-based investment bank, served as the exclusive advisor to Sability on the transaction.
Armanino has approximately 2,500 people across 30 offices in the US, Canada, and India. It is the 21st-largest accountancy in the US, according to IPA, with annual revenue of $700 million.
Armanino earlier this year acquired MSTiller, an Atlanta-based accounting firm.
