Executive search and HR consultancy Heidrick & Struggles has added Cheryl Stokes as a Partner in its consulting business. Stokes, who previously spent 18 years with Duke Corporate Education, will focus on leadership development – helping organizations, teams, and individuals accelerate their performance.

In addition to its core offering of executive search, Chicago-based Heidrick & Struggles offers a number of human capital improvement services situated in the Heidrick Consulting division – including leadership assessment and development, team and organization acceleration, and culture shaping.

The firm has bolstered its leadership development offering with the addition of Cheryl Stokes as a Partner in the Atlanta office. Stokes brings over twenty years of experience in global business strategy, leadership development, and organizational strategy.

Stokes previously spent 18 years with Duke Corporate Education – the non-degree executive education offshoot of Duke University – where she was most recently the Region Managing Director for Europe. In the role, she set the strategic direction of Duke CE’s Europe operations, driving the strongest growth and profitability Duke CE Europe ever saw.Heidrick Consulting adds Cheryl Stokes as Partner in Atlanta officeBefore that, Stokes had a five-year stretch as the Executive Director of the Learning Innovations Team at Duke CE’s Durham, NC headquarters, and prior to that, she spent six-and-a-half years as the VP of Global Learning Methods. Before Duke CE, Stokes was Director of Organizational Capability at The Coca-Cola Company, working extensively over the firm’s bottling system in Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Before that, she was a Senior Engineer with the Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA). Stokes holds a dual MS in management and materials science & engineering from MIT, as well as a BS in electrical engineering from Kettering University.

Stokes’ appointment as Partner follows the addition of Ian Tomlinson-Roe as a Partner in the London office, as well as Jane Schroeder as Principal. Heidrick Consulting also added Marina Ivanoff as a Principal in their Singapore office. At the C-suite level, Heidrick & Struggles recently promoted Sarah Payne to CHRO.

"We continue to build and grow our business to better meet the demands of our clients globally," said Andrew LeSueur, Global Managing Partner, Heidrick Consulting.
