Brian Flynn appointed Senior Managing Director in FTI’s Health Solutions practice
Washington, DC-based advisory firm FTI Consulting – known for its advisory work in the areas of restructuring, investigations, and disputes – has appointed a new senior managing director in its Health Solutions practice. Flynn, who has nearly 25 years of healthcare industry experience, will be based in Boston.
As senior managing director, Brian Flynn will help the Health Solutions team at FTI deliver effective answers to healthcare industry clients’ pressing strategic, operational, and financial problems. The practice provides advisory support in the areas of performance improvement, clinical operations, finance, and regulatory compliance. The new appointment – who had a previous stint with FTI from 2009 to 2015 – will focus on operational transformation services.
Flynn has nearly a quarter-century of experience delivering strategic, operational, and financial advisory services to healthcare providers. He has deep industry-specific experience in margin improvement, productivity, supply chain, revenue cycle, clinical effectiveness, and physician practice operations, among other areas.
Before rejoining FTI, Flynn was a principal at EY for three years. Prior to that, he spent five-and-a-half years with FTI Consulting’s Health Solutions practice. Before that, Flynn was a director at PwC Consulting for over three years.
Before his time at PwC, he spent five years as corporate vice president at Continuum Health Partners in New York. In the role, Flynn managed the revenue cycle process for Continuum hospitals, which had approximately 2,500 beds and revenues of more than $2 billion.
Prior to that, he spent a year as a manager at Capgemini, and four years as a manager at healthcare consultancy Stockamp & Associates. Flynn holds a BS in healthcare administration from Quinnpiac University.
