Maine Pointe names Christopher Brumitt head of Aerospace & Defense
Maine Pointe has promoted Christopher Brumitt to head of the firm’s Aerospace & Defense practice.
With more than 30 years of experience in industry and management consulting, Brumitt brings a wealth of experience to his new role at the international supply chain and operations consulting firm. “He has a deep understanding of the challenges being faced by companies in aerospace & defense. His leadership will drive sustainable growth for our clients in the sector,” said David Jadwin, an Executive Vice President at Maine Pointe.
Brumitt has been with Maine Pointe since joining in March 2017 from an aerospace-defense consulting group. During his nine years at the firm, he was responsible for market analysis and new business development in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. Prior to this, he spent six years as a Vice President at a US-based consultancy where he was responsible for the firm’s Energy, Aerospace & Defense and Financial Services sectors for North America. He started his career at The Institute of Management Resources, where he held increasing levels of responsibility until becoming Vice President of Business Development.
“Christopher has a deep understanding of the challenges being faced by companies in aerospace & defense. His leadership will drive sustainable growth for our clients in the sector.”
At Maine Pointe, Brumitt has been appointed a Vice President, and succeeds David Kleine, who recently retired from business. Over the past two years, the duo have worked closely together to ensure a transfer of knowledge and client network. The two have also worked together on engagements, driving significant financial and operational success for clients.
Maine Pointe’s Aerospace wing helps carrier, lessors and OEM suppliers with optimizing their end-to-end operations and supply chain, while the Defense arm works with US military, navy and other armed forces units on topics such as asset availability, cost efficiency, network planning and maintenance effectiveness. Brumitt himself specialises in top-line growth, operational execution, procurement, logistics, supply chain optimization, and organizational development. His client portfolio spans both Fortune 500 companies as well as governments and mid-sized / smaller companies.
Asked about how he believe the firm differentiates itself in the consulting market, Brumitt said: “Maine Pointe’s Total Value Optimization [the firm’s methodology for value creation] approach enables the firm to provide its clients a significant advantage. According to him, the firm’s engagements “are results-driven and deliver a return on investment of between 4:1 - 8:1 ROI.”
He added, “Maine Pointe is a formidable blend of talent, experience and proven methodology that, leveraged together, delivers cash, cost savings and growth solutions for its clients. I am delighted to be leading the Aerospace & Defense team and eager to be part of the company’s phenomenal success.”
Earlier this year, Maine Pointe added senior advisors Tony Planos and Barry Dull to its ranks in the US.
