Hayes has more than 30 years of industry experience, and has extensive expertise in transforming companies for success in retail, digital media, and commerce. Hayes has helped both startups and Fortune 500s improve processes and streamline procedures while building effective teams. He will leverage his expertise to give Strategy Source’s clients advice on transformations, strategy, and operations.

"Growing businesses constantly face challenges from recruiting and coaching employees to budgeting and forecasting to raising capital and structuring operations," Russell Herring, founding partner, said. "We have connected talented people with innovative companies in numerous functional areas across the digital landscape, primarily in sales, marketing, product, operations, customer success, technology, data science and finance. We are excited to have Bob help us put our expertise to work in new ways to help our clients grow their businesses."

Consultancy track record

Before joining Strategy Source, Hayes ran his independent consultancy, Hayes Digital, helping clients increase their digital footprints through commerce, marketing, product, operations, and data intelligence. One of his former clients was Strategy Source itself.

Before that, Hayes served for three years as Yellow Pages's senior vice president (SVP) of enterprise programs and national product and operations. There, he restructured the company’s national ad product and ops team to support $310 million in annual revenue and led a Salesforce.com integration.

Hayes also spent two years as president and chief operating officer (COO) of game site operator Iplay, rebranding the firm, transforming the customer experience and product offering, and recruiting and building a core leadership team.

Hayes also was also president and COO at Proclivity Systems, SVP and commerce general manager at AOL, and executive vice president of merchandising and operations at IAC.

"I'm thrilled to help Strategy Source leverage its expertise and expand its offerings," Hayes said. "We now offer companies an end-to-end human capital solution focused on talent acquisition and consulting practices centered around the new anticipatory process of reaching consumers and their wallets.

“For example, we can provide a consultant with senior vice president level marketing experience to a growing company to develop their marketing strategy,” he added. “Once the plan is ready, we can help the company hire a senior director-level marketing expert to execute the plan. It's exciting to help companies transform the way they connect with customers and employees so they can grow successfully."
