Grant Thornton joins consultancy partner program of Deltek
Software vendor Deltek has agreed to an alliance with the US arm of Grant Thornton. As part of the deal, Grant Thornton will complement and extend Deltek’s consulting and implementation capabilities.
Globally, Deltek serves more than 23,000 client organizations and millions of users. The solutions used by these users are set up and managed by Deltek’s Global Consulting practice - a team of consultants and project managers that implement, upgrade, and enable Deltek solutions around the world.
The alliance with Grant Thornton sees the accounting and consulting firm join Deltek’s list of alliance partners, allowing the two companies to jointly deploy purpose-built, project-centric systems. Grant Thornton will provide Deltek’s customers with specialized know-how in systems integration, change management, finance optimization, digital transformation, compliance, and business consulting.
Building on Grant Thornton’s consulting heritage, the focus of the alliance will be on three of Deltek’s main solution areas: enterprise resource planning; project and portfolio management; and talent management. The professional services firm will also specialize in government contract compliance, helping Deltek clients comply with accounting rules, regulations, and standards.

The alliance is aimed at both public and private companies of all sizes, including government contractors, professional services companies, manufacturers, high-tech services companies, and engineering firms. “Grant Thornton understands the unique challenges that government contractors and project-based businesses face when looking to transform their business," Matt Strazza, senior vice president of global sales at Deltek, said. "As businesses change and grow, they need to adjust their systems and transform to maximize effectiveness. Together, Deltek and Grant Thornton will offer organizations solutions and best practices to solve those issues and maximize the value of their Deltek investments.”
Alongside alliance partners, Deltek also works with resellers, systems integrators, implementation specialists, outsourced managed services providers, and technology firms.
Deltek earlier this month named BDO its global consulting partner of the year for its client contribution achievements in the past year.
