Alex Vayner joins PA Consulting as head of AI and automation in Americas
Data and AI expert Alex Vayner has joined innovation consultancy PA Consulting as its head of artificial intelligence and automation for the Americas region.
As a consulting firm that helps organizations innovate and transform, London-headquartered PA Consulting has a long track record of working with AI technologies, including robotic process automation (RPA) and machine learning. Its global innovation and technology centre in Cambridge, UK, has over 250 experts who tackle complex challenges ranging from mechanical engineering to new product design. In the US, recently acquired innovation strategy and product design firm Essential Design further bolstered the company’s capabilities across advanced design and engineering.
The firm’s Americas footprint extends across Boston and Cambridge, MA, New York City, Denver, Los Angeles, and Mexico City.
PA Consulting has strengthened its AI capabilities with the addition of industry expert Alex Vayner. As head of AI and automation (Americas), Vayner will manage the firm’s data analytics, business intelligence, and cognitive solutions in the Americas, while providing clients with innovative, tech-driven solutions to complex business issues.
During his career, Vayner has advised Fortune 500 firms on the execution of AI and machine learning solutions across most sectors and industries. He joins PA from IT consultancy Capgemini, where he spent three years as the leader of its Americas Data Science and AI practice, building up the practice while supporting high-level clients with high-demand data and AI offerings.
Before Capgemini, Vayner was VP and global data innovation leader at Equifax, where he was responsible for leading the data innovation team and developing solutions that drove profitable customer insights. He also spent time as a director in the analytics practice of Big Four firm PwC, and was a director in the strategy and analytics practice of Hubzu, an online real estate company.
Earlier in his career, Vayner was an engagement manager at consultancy Booz Allen Hamilton, focusing on analytics. He holds an MS in applied mathematics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as a BS in mathematics and computer science from the University of Florida.
