Protiviti opens innovation sites in New York and Chicago
Global consulting firm Protiviti has announced the opening of two Protiviti Inn innovation sites – one in New York, the other in Chicago. The sites will act as incubators and accelerators of “next generation ideas,” according to a press release. A third site is currently under construction in London, with plans for a fourth quarter opening. Additional innovation sites are planned internationally in the near future.
“Innovation is not just a concept, it’s one of Protiviti’s three core values, along with integrity and inclusion,” Cory Gunderson, Protiviti executive vice president of global services, said. “We designed our innovation sites to enable highly creative approaches to a myriad of client business challenges; foster global collaboration with our clients and ecosystem partners; and develop innovation ambassadors throughout the firm by leveraging the employee rotation program we put in place for the innovation sites.”
Protiviti employees can apply for a temporary transfer to one of the innovation sites, where they will become “residents” for three months. Residents will be part of a diverse pool of expertise, backgrounds, skillsets, and levels, and will work at the sites without hierarchy or titles. They will be encouraged to be as creative as possible, leveraging design thinking principles and agile methodology to their projects. The aim will be to find “new ways of doing things” through collaborative means.
“The goal of true digital transformation is not to implement the latest technology. It is, however, about changing the way an organization acts and thinks in everything it does, so that it can compete effectively in the digital age. Fostering an innovation culture is a critical component of this transformation,” Jonathan Wyatt, a managing director with Protiviti UK and leader of Protiviti Digital, said. “We already help our clients transform their businesses, enhance their customer experiences, and achieve efficiency through using the latest technology and an innovation mindset. We are excited about welcoming our clients to our innovation sites as we explore new possibilities together.”
Protiviti operates out of 80 offices in more than 25 countries. It provides its clients with solutions in finance, technology, operations, data, analytics, governance, risk, and internal audit.
