Nashville-based Vaco acquires MorganFranklin Consulting
Vaco, a recruitment and consulting firm, has acquired MorganFranklin Consulting, a McLean, Virginia–based consultancy serving the private and public sector.
The deal was backed by Olympus Partners, of which Vaco is a portfolio company. The financial terms were not disclosed.
According to a release from Vaco, the deal creates a combined firm with annual revenues of $750 million. Vaco’s revenues in 2017 were $442 million.
Nashville-based Vaco was founded in 2002, and specializes in executive search, permanent placement, and strategic staffing. The company also offers business consulting services through a partner network of 4,300+ consultants. The company has more than 1,200 employees across offices in the US, Canada, and India, and was on Forbes’ 2018 and 2019 List of America’s Best Recruiting Firms.
MorganFranklin delivers consulting services in business, finance, and digital transformation, accounting and financial reporting, risk, M&A, and data & analytics, among other areas. Aside from its Washington-area headquarters, the company has regional offices in Atlanta, NYC, San Francisco, and LA. MorganFranklin was the top-ranked Small Consulting Firm to Work For in Consulting Magazine’s 2018 list.
The deal, as such, gives Vaco a more fully-realized consulting arm, with end-to-end solutions across business consulting.

MorganFranklin will maintain its brand as part of the deal. Chris Mann will continue in his role as CEO of MorganFranklin, while working closely with Vaco CEO Jerry Bostelman.
