Nexant names Honn Tudor as vice president of E&CA

Global energy and petrochemical consultancy Nexant has named Honn Tudor as vice president of the firm’s energy and chemical advisory (E&CA) team. In his new position, Tudor will be based out of Houston, Texas. 

"Honn brings a wealth of practical experience covering a wide range of the petrochemical industry, including olefins, aromatics, and polymers. He has spent 25 years in industry operations and management, primarily at plants in Texas and Louisiana, with some stints overseas. Most recently, Honn has been an industry consultant involved in cost and operational benchmarking. He is a welcome addition and will continue to drive Nexant's services to our Gulf Coast clients," Bruce Burke, senior vice president for E&CA in the Americas, said. 

Houston is a perfect location for Nexant’s E&CA team. Its proximity to the Gulf Coast, which is home to the world’s highest concentration of process and engineering companies, places Nexant in a prime position for serving more than 300 chemical and petroleum organizations.Nexant names Honn Tudor as vice president of E&CAThe firm currently offers services including the monitoring of construction and progress as independent engineers; commercial and emerging technology assessments; market analysis; industry market reporting; and petrochemical- and sustainability-focused training workshops. In addition to Houston, Honn’s E&CA division operates out of San Francisco, New York, London, Bahrain, Bangkok, and Singapore. 

Tudor joins Nexant from Phillip Townsend Associates, which is also located in Houston, where he served as business director for close to five years. There, he was responsible for managing the organization’s fertilizer and methanol benchmarking programs, among other duties. Tudor also spent more than 26 years at Total Petrochemicals and Refining in a variety of roles, from manufacturing coordinator to PE Plant manager in Bayport, Texas, where he led a 150-person team and managed a $14 million yearly capital budget and a $60 million operations budget, while directing HSE, operations, maintenance, and office administration activities.
