WTS International appoints Steven A. Rudnitsky as vice chairman
Spa, wellness and lifestyle management consultancy WTS International has named Steven A. Rudnitsky as vice chairman of its board of directors.
Rudnitsky has worked in hospitality for nearly two decades, serving as president or CEO of industry titans such as the Wyndham Hotel Group, Dolce Hotels & Resorts, and the Miraval Group, where he oversaw the sale of Miraval to Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
“We are pleased to welcome Steve Rudnitsky to our board of directors,” Gary Henkin, WTS founder and CEO, said. “Steve's successful career in leading elite hospitality brands through periods of growth and transformation and in helping to build major consumer brands will be a tremendous asset to WTS as we enter this new, exciting stage of the company's history. The respect that Steve has in our industry will be a valuable complement to the reputation we have established at WTS."
Rudnitsky has also worked for Kraft Foods Group, Inc. in various capacities, including president of Kraft Food Services, executive vice president of Kraft Foods, and president of Nabisco Food Service Company. He also spent more than a decade with PepsiCo, in roles ranging from associate brand manager to vice president of on-premise development for Pepsi-Cola International, and has worked with The Pillsbury Company and Johnson & Johnson.
"Gary and the WTS team have achieved remarkable growth and deservedly possess a leadership position in the spa and wellness services industry," Rudnitsky said "This will provide a strong foundation to pursue a number of strategic initiatives that we believe will lead to great success for WTS in the years to come."
WTS offers management, consulting, and design services to wellness facilities such as spas, fitness centers, and residential lifestyle facilities. Notable clients include The Spa at Trump Las Vegas, The Spa at Trump Chicago, Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnett Creek, and Spa Evangeline at the Epicurean Hotel. WTS recently received an investment from New York-based private equity firm CI Capital Partners.
"CI Capital works with the management teams of its portfolio companies to add expertise to their board of directors, and the addition of Steve Rudnitsky to WTS's board of directors is an example of this," Zubin Malkani, managing director of CI Capital Partners, said. "We believe that Steve's experience and expertise will provide a uniquely qualified perspective on the spa, fitness, and wellness industry and its relationship to hospitality more broadly that will be valuable to WTS."
