Catalyst Consulting Group wins Salesforce award for Chicago 311 project
Catalyst Consulting Group, a Chicago-based IT consulting firm, was given a Salesforce Partner Innovation Award in the public sector/government category.
Catalyst received the award for its work transforming the City of Chicago’s legacy 311 system and moving it into the cloud with the popular Salesforce platform. The Salesforce awards were presented at the company’s annual Dreamforce user and developer conference, which was held in San Francisco from November 18–22.

311 systems are non-emergency contact points for city dwellers to find info, register complaints, and report problems like road damage or graffiti. Originally referring to the phone number people would call, 311 systems now often include websites or mobile apps to enhance the citizen experience.
Catalyst helped Chicago in December 2018 launch its modernized CHI311 system, which includes a digital work order management system for city staff, a public-facing community portal, and a public-facing mobile app to submit and track services requests.
