Government-focused consultancy Quotient acquires Eden Consulting Group
Quotient, Inc., a Columbia, Maryland-based tech consultancy that serves federal government clients, has acquired Eden Consulting Group (ECG), a Crofton, Maryland-based consulting firm.
ECG was founded in 1996, and provides program management, systems engineering, and IT support to federal government and private sector clients. The DC-area firm’s flagship projects have included masterminding the scheduling of the 2010 and 2020 censuses and delivering critical program management for multiple NASA satellites. The firm has also supported other federal clients, including the FDA, CDC, and NRC, as well as large corporate clients such as General Dynamics and Lockheed-Martin.
Quotient’s acquisition of ECG will bolster its capabilities in program management, while expanding the tech consultancy’s presence in the Washington, DC area. The move is part of Quotient’s stated strategy of expanding its service offerings and growing its multi-agency presence.
"The addition of ECG brings increased project management experience to Quotient," said Jodi Lare, CEO of Quotient. "ECG's strong past performance, and long-standing customer relationships will help fuel Quotient's growth in the federal sector and strengthens our leadership in delivering innovative, mission-critical solutions."
Led by founder Dave Eden, the ECG team will continue in their current roles as a wholly owned subsidiary of Quotient.
"This merger brings exciting and rewarding changes to both ECG and Quotient's customers. They will enjoy superior skill sets with an increased depth and breadth of services across all of the key information technology facets that every federal agency needs," said Eden. "We all anticipate that this merger of talented people and cutting-edge services is truly a winning formula."
Quotient was advised on the transaction by law firm of Bowie & Jensen, LLC and financial advisory firm SC&H Capital.
Founded in 1999, Quotient delivers core consulting services in the areas of web design and development, application development, content management, program management, cybersecurity, cloud, and systems engineering.
