MorganFranklin Consulting launches cybersecurity practice
Management and technology advisory firm MorganFranklin Consulting has launched a cybersecurity practice via a rebrand of consultancy Vaco’s existing cybersecurity practice. Vaco acquired MorganFranklin in July 2019. Vaco managing directors Keith Hollender, Jonah Dimeo, Brian Prentice, and Peter Schile will lead the rebranded practice.
“Cybersecurity is vital to the daily operation and longevity of any business. With ever-increasing threats, it is critical to have the right foundation in place along with supportive strategic tactics to address all aspects of an organization’s security ecosystem,” Schile said. “Our focus has been on building exceptional cybersecurity posture for our clients. Now, with the MorganFranklin team by our side, we can accelerate our growth as a premier cybersecurity consulting brand.”
The practice will offer its clients end-to-end services that will enable its clients to identify and cover cybersecurity needs in both the short- and long-term. It will also offer information and guidance crucial to decision making, as well as cybersecurity programs including supporting roles, tools, and resources.
“The addition of a comprehensive set of cybersecurity services enables MorganFranklin to further expand our ability to solve new, complex challenges for our clients,” Chris Mann, managing partner of MorganFranklin Consulting, said. “Pete, Keith, Jonah, and Brian have built an industry-leading practice with expert methodologies and iconic clients. We are excited to work with this outstanding team on its next phase of growth. They bring complementary solutions and a passion for client service that align perfectly with our proven risk, data, and technology offerings.”
Specific services the cybersecurity practice will offer include strategy; governance, risk management, and compliance; cybersecurity operations; incident response; and risk intelligence. It will also offer managed security services. As a firm, MorganFranklin works with both corporate and governmental organizations, assisting in “transformational” financial, business, and technology situations. It is headquartered in Washington, DC, and operates out of regional offices in Atlanta, New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
“Vaco and MorganFranklin have significantly exceeded our wildest expectations of how we could serve clients with complementary services,” Jerry Bostelman, Vaco’s co-founder and CEO, said. “This union is a great example of how we can combine capabilities to be stronger together. It’s exciting to see the amazing cyber team bring their Vaco history more directly into MorganFranklin and fortify their cyber capabilities across all the methodology-driven consulting services they provide.”
