Infosys acquires Salesforce consultancy Simplus
India-based IT giant Infosys has acquired Simplus, a Salt Lake City-based Salesforce Platinum Partner.
Simplus was founded in 2014 and has grown rapidly to a workforce of 600 global employees. The firm’s experts deliver services in cloud consulting, implementation, data integration, change management, and training services for Salesforce quote-to-cash applications. Simplus has ten offices across the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK, as well as a large delivery center in Manila.
Growing client demand for Salesforce implementations has seen Infosys snap up the US-based company, which holds the highest Platinum partner rating for the dominant customer relationship management platform.
The $250 million transaction, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter of FY 2020, will further bolster Infosys’ global Salesforce practice. The move builds on the IT giant’s 2018 acquisition of Fluido, the largest Salesforce consulting partner in the Nordics.
Aside from adding 600 specialists, the acquisition will also add a broad clientele, including firms in high tech, financial services, retail, healthcare, and manufacturing. Simplus has completed more than 4,500 projects in the last six years.
“This acquisition is key to staying relevant to the digital priorities of our clients and demonstrates our commitment to the Salesforce ecosystem,” Pravin Rao, chief operating officer of Infosys, said. “The strategic combination of scalable and agile global delivery capabilities of Simplus complements our effort to help global enterprises to transform their businesses. We are excited to welcome Simplus and its leadership team into the Infosys family."
Ryan Westwood, CEO & cofounder of Simplus, said, “We have viewed this partnership from a culture-first lens from the beginning, and we believe that the alignment of our company values, and the preservation of our company DNA will allow us to accelerate growth and together become the strongest and most respected partner in the Salesforce ecosystem."
Infosys has 234,000 employees in 46 countries, and global revenues of $12.6 billion. The firm has 17 offices across the United States.
Rival IT consulting firm Cognizant recently purchased a different Salesforce Platinum Partner – Atlanta-based Code Zero.
