Global consultancy Protiviti has named pro golfers Matthew Fitzpatrick and Jennifer Kupcho brand ambassadors, in a bid to simultaneously expand the firm’s presence and provide support for the players’ careers as they compete on the international stage.

Per terms of the partnership, both Fitzpatrick and Kupcho will wear the Protiviti name on their clothing during all golf-related appearances. They will also assist with the firm’s “I on Hunger” program – a philanthropic effort that aims to improve food availability, quality, and utilization, as well as tackle the “root causes” of hunger.

"We're excited to team up with Matthew and Jennifer and support the next generation of golf professionals through our global golf brand ambassador program," Joseph Tarantino, president and CEO of Protiviti, said. "Our decision to work with them became obvious because both players strongly embody Protiviti's values of innovation, integrity and inclusion both on and off the golf course. We look forward to championing their progress."

Kupcho, 22, had three top-five finishes in her rookie year on the LPGA circuit. She was the number-one-ranked amateur golfer in the world before turning professional in May 2019. She was also a four-time All-American during her years at Wake University.

"I'm proud to partner with a company that believes in doing the right thing while driving positive industry changes,” Kupcho said. “I found that my personal values were very aligned with the way Protiviti infuses its values across its worldwide organization – and puts its people front and center."

Fitzpatrick, 25, is currently ranked 24th in the world. He is the youngest Englishman to win five European Tour events. At age 21, he was named to the European Ryder Cup team. He won the US Amateur Championship in 2013 before turning pro the next year. He is an alumnus of Northwestern University.

"As I thought about the partnership, I found many similarities in my approach to golf and Protiviti's approach to business,” Fitzpatrick said. “Overcoming challenges and problem-solving are important in any field, and their practice of using innovation to drive performance is something that really resonated with me."

Protiviti offers consulting services for finance, technology, operations, data, analytics, governance, risk, and internal audit. The firm operates out of more than 85 offices in 25 countries, and was named one of Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” in 2020. It works with organizations ranging from Fortune 1000 to companies seeking to go public. It is headquartered in Menlo Park, California.
