Supply chain experts launch new firm eMate Consulting
Gene Tyndall, a well-known supply chain leader, has founded eMate Consulting, alongside partners Scott Moon, Brenda Enney, and Don Anderson. The Atlanta-based firm will provide consulting services and solutions for supply chains and digital commerce.
EMate Consulting’s offerings span supply chain strategy and planning (organizational redesign, S&OP planning); operational (business process reengineering, trade management, risk management); digital commerce (marketing strategy, multi-channel management); and business intelligence (new business insight, artificial intelligence).
“Today’s supply chains must be resilient, agile, digitally enabled, and efficient to enable profitable growth," Tyndall told news site Supply Chain Brain. "The firm addresses both strategic and operational needs and goals."
Cofounder and partner Gene Tyndall brings four decades of industry experience to the new firm. He previously spent 12 years at supply chain consultancy Tompkins International, where he most recently served as chief strategy officer. Before that, he was EVP of global solutions, overseeing the company’s solutions, business development, and marketing.Prior to Tompkins, he spent four years at transportation and supply chain company Ryder, where he was president of global supply chain solutions. Before that, Tyndall spent 17 years at Big Four firm EY, where he was a senior partner in the global supply chain management practice.
He holds a doctorate and MBA in marketing and international business from George Washington University, as well as a BS in industrial engineering from the University of Maryland.
Tyndall has coauthored several books on supply chain management, and is frequent speaker at industry conferences.
Scott Moon is an inventory management expert with nearly 30 years of supply chain experience. He previously worked with Tyndall at Tompkins International, where he was a vice president. Before that, he was director of worldwide inventory management at computer manufacturer Lenovo, director of production planning and demand forecasting at fire alarm manufacturer Kidde, and director of demand forecasting at Victoria’s Secret.
Earlier in his career he was a manager at Deloitte and KPMG, working on projects in supply chain and inventory control for manufacturing clients across the globe. Moon holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a BS in industrial engineering from Virginia Tech.
Brenda Enney brings deep experience working on network design, strategic planning, and organizational development issues. She previously held senior roles at Tompkins International and Ryder. She was also previously a manufacturing engineer at Compaq Computers.
Don Anderson is a transportation and trade expert who has helped clients across industries improve their distribution and logistics planning and execution. Anderson previously cofounded two logistics and trade management software startups, and was Airborne/DHL’s transportation and distribution services leader.
