Apple Growth Partners appoints two executives to leadership team

Apple Growth Partners, an Akron-based accounting and consulting firm, has appointed Susan Burnoski and Christine Waltjen to its executive committee. Burnoski and Waltjen are directors of the audit and tax practices.

The firm’s executive committee serves as the governing board for the Ohio-located firm, which has more than 100 employees. Founded in 1943, Apple Growth Partners offers services in audit, assurance, and tax, as well as advisory services in litigation, fraud/forensic accounting, valuation, and marketing. The firm also offers specialized consulting services for the transportation sector.

AGP has four Ohio offices in Akron, Canton, Cleveland, and Kent, and is a member of the BDO USA Alliance of independent firms.Susan Burnoski and Chrine Waltjen - Apple Growth PartnersSusan Burnoski is a principal and director of audit and assurance at Apple Growth Partners, having joined the firm 13 years ago as an audit associate. During her career at the firm, Burnoski has specialized in employee benefit plans and fiduciary responsibility. As director of audit and assurance, she leads the auditing team and oversees scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and management.

Burnoski holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in accounting from Case Western Reserve University.

Christine Waltjen is a tax manager and director of tax, overseeing the management, scheduling, and onboarding of the tax team. She joined Apple Growth Partners in 2018 when her previous firm, KPFF, merged into Apple Growth Partners. Waltjen joined the Ohio-based accounting firm KPFF in 2002, where she worked as a chartered professional accountant.

Waltjen holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Cleveland State University.
