SierraConstellation Partners (SCP), a national interim management and advisory firm, has launched a senior advisor council to better serve its middle market clients.

The council will be made of experienced senior executives with C-suite experience at firms which have gone through restructuring, bankruptcy, and turnaround. The advisors will consult on SCP engagements with clients in their area of expertise.

The consulting firm announced the first two members of its senior advisor council are Chris Tedford and Jon Pedersen.

Tedford has over 20 years of finance and accounting experience across retail, manufacturing, and consumer goods. He most recently was CFO at KushCo Holdings, a provider of products and services to the cannabis industry. In the role, he helped raise over $100 million in capital and stabilized the company's liquidity position.

Before that, Tedford was CFO and corporate controller at Pacific Sunwear, helping to lead a Chapter 11 restructuring process. He was also previously a corporate controller at Clean Energy Fuels Corp. and MFLEX, a flexible circuit manufacturer.

Earlier in his career, Tedford was a senior manager at Big Four firms Deloitte and KPMG. He holds a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern California and a BS in social science from the University of California at Irvine.

Pedersen has deep executive experience in financial operations and management in the media industry. He recently served as SVP and CFO at iHeartMedia, leading the back office through a pre-packaged bankruptcy. Before that, he was CFO of SNAP Interactive, a developer of dating apps.

Pedersen also spent time as an SVP and controller at Warner Music Group, where he helped build a standalone corporate finance team for the company. Before that he was VP for global management reporting at Goldman, Sachs & Co.

He holds an MBA from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Connecticut.

“At SCP, we’re proud of our ability to take on projects in any industry, and the new Senior Advisor Council will make our industry-specific expertise that much deeper,” said Larry Perkins, founder and CEO. “Each of our Senior Advisors has been deep into the trenches of bankruptcies, restructurings and business transformations in their industries, and as the economic uncertainty from COVID-19 continues, I have no doubt that our clients will find their counsel and wisdom useful. Chris and Jon are going to be tremendous assets for our firm.”

Based in Los Angeles, SCP offers services and solutions in turnaround and restructuring, interim management, performance improvement, transaction advisory, debt capital, and fiduciary services. The firm works with middle market clients across a wide range of industries.

SCP earlier this year opened an office in New York City, under the leadership of new addition David Bitterman. The firm also has offices in Houston and Boston.
